To ask about your typical day?

Does your toddler sit still? Are they on the go from the moment they wake up? Are they in to anything and everything? Usually something they shouldn’t have? Are they loud? Are they quiet?

My 17 month old is a whirlwind from the moment his eyes wake, to the moment his eyes shut. He is a chatter box that wants to run, climb, and touch anything out of reach. By no means am I complaining, just intrigued if this is more “boy energy” that he doesn’t stop (unless there is food involved!). We have toddler friends who are girls and generally a little more relaxed, happy to cuddle and sit still for 10/15 mins.

He is so so so busy, not interested in TV, maybe 1 or 2 books if he’s tired before bed. Other than that he’s full GO GO GO!!

What is your typical day?

My son is about 6 months older than yours and I’d say in the past couple of months he’s started to calm down slightly. Though, this evening he was throwing himself head first off the sofa which was terrifying!
But some days he’s insane, just constantly on the move, goes from toy to toy etc. Other days he’s a bit more chilled and will spend a bit of time playing with his cars. He’s generally ok to watch a little bit of tv, maybe about 10 mins before he loses interest.
I try to get out and about every day - we do a few toddler classes each week and then spend a lot of time at the beach or on nice walks jumping in puddles to get his energy out. If we spend too much time in the house then he turns into an absolute mad man.
But one of my friends has a daughter the same age as my son and they are quite different. Obviously could just be their personalities rather than a boy/girl thing. But she is a fair bit calmer than my son. She’ll spend alot more time playing with a toy or just sitting on her parents lap when we are out somewhere together. I spend my time chasing my son around, unless there’s a snack!

My little girl is like your little boys. She just turned 2. I woke say it's personality, not gender.
