I know I’m being dramatic but this “phase” is driving me mad! We are only on day 4 but he is laughing every time I say no that hurts mummy. I show him that we should be doing “gentle hands” but he doesn’t seem to be taking any of it in. I’ve had to put him in the cot and walk away for 5 mins earlier on as I felt so touched out after being hit round the face whilst bathing him. I know it’s not personal and it isn’t his intention to hurt me. He keeps slapping his own head/ the wall of his cot so is clearly in an experimenting phase. I feel really sad as he usually hugs me goodnight from his cot stood up but I had to walk out again as he hit me as I bent down 😢 I’m just after reassurance that it will pass and he’s not going to hit me for the rest of my life!
