So 97% of the time my son is behaved if a little sarcastic.
But the 3% he can become annoyed / angry. Last night he threw his book and pens and stormed upstairs, shouted and slammed his door. This was over me telling to stop messing when he didn't listen the consequence was the tv went off.
Is this normal behavior? He's a only and there's no other children in the family. So im unsure.

I think that this is getting more usual by this age. How is he at school?

RareNewt · 14/12/2024 18:36

He's fine, he's ADHD (inattentive) but school said he's really managing his emotions.
He does snap out of it easy,

My son (7 turning 8 in the new year) was similar. Getting angry very easily over small things. I have been told that it's a pre-puberty hormones surge. However, I did hypnotherapy and it worked wonders on him. He no longer gets triggered easily.

I have wondered if it could be hormones. I've started making diary to see if there's a link when it happenes
