Worries about 10 month old feeding

My 10 month old dd does not feed herself. She does not pick food up and put it in her mouth. She does not gum toys or try and suck on anything apart from her bottle.

I have real problems trying to feed her anything more than a puree. She chokes a lot and can be sick really easily (she was a reflux baby).

The health visitor keeps banging on to me that she must have finger food but whatever I put on her highchair tray goes straight on the floor.

is this normal? my other dd (2)was practically cooking her own food at this age.

DS wouldn't feed himself finger food till he was over 1 year old. HV reckoned he should be having finger food at six months. I wouldn't worry too much. Does she manage any bits in her puree?

Have you tried sitting her on your lap and allowing her to eat from your plate?

just wondered....it can sometimes encourage them to have a go...of course you'll only be eating finger foods!!!

just a thought as this is how I did some of my weaning. My kids seemed to be intimidated by lots of food in front of them, so if they could get bits off my plate it was easier...

I'm sure there's something too that they can be fed on milk up to a year....I think I read this in the la leche information, but please check this as I'm not totally sure.
