When are DC old enough for a sleepover?

DD's Rainbows group is holding a sleepover in June to raise money for a children's charity. It'll be at the local primary school (not DD's) from 5pm to 10am. I'm not sure if DD would be okay to go or not. She'll be 7 in October and if she goes, her best friend will be there. Too young or not?

I think it depends on where they are going and the temprament of the child. My dd (4) has been for 2 sleepovers but they were both at my sisters house with her 3 kids so she was with someone I knew and trusted. I dont kow what I would think of sending her to a big group thing in a place she didnt know - have you asked your dd what she would think about it?
