Phillips avent bottles

Hello,
My baby is 5 months old now and had feeding difficulties since birth. I tried ebf but had latching difficulties, eventually at 10 weeks old he had his tongue tie cut. Managed to combo feed however recently we have difficulties again. He keeps coming on and off breast and bottle, I stopped breastfeeding as much because of it. He was doing really good on the bottle ever since his tongue tie was removed but recently every feed is a nightmare. He keeps coming on and off the bottle and he is really fussing, can only feed peacefully when sleepy or tired. Because of the difficulties I mentioned, I was struggling to find the right bottle and many seemed to be too fast for him. Eventually settled for Phillips avent but still using size 1 nipple. Changed it to size 2 but he is still fussing on the bottle so went back to size 1. He doesn’t seem to drink it too slow but he is on and off the bottle and crying. Does anyone have experience with these bottles? Should I try size 3? Is it possible that he is sucking too hard? He doesn’t seem to drink it too fast, the pace of feeding is very good but the fussiness, crying and coming on and off suggest wrong nipple to me. I tried experimenting with temperatures of formula as well as different brands.
