Hello. I filled in a new claim for child dla, but got my partner set to sign and put his bank details as he incurs a lot of the extra costs involved. My partner does find it tricky to communicate himself and also has dyslexia himself, but I’m thinking I should have sent a cover letter explaining all of this. TBH I was so focused on photocopying and including all the evidence that I didn’t think of adding a cover letter. Now I’m worried that I can’t be added as a parent on the claim, or that the DWP won’t talk to me or update me on the claim if I called them, as my partner most likely won’t communicate well. There wasn’t a section that said if someone else filled the form in.
Any advise please welcome.
