Hey all, I’m wondering if anyone has experienced their child constantly asking for food. I know all children ask for food a lot, but our almost 4 year old daughter seems to have food on her mind constantly. It’s the behavioral side which is most concerning (examples below). We did highlight these things to a pediatric doctor but they didn’t give us any confidence they can help. We just want to know if other parents have experienced this to the same extent. Thank you in advance :) X
- Going on about food way too much, in the middle of playtime she will often stop and ask for something to eat
- When we head out on the weekend to a park, she will keep asking when are we going to have lunch (after having a healthy snack). When’s she’s finished lunch/dinner and had a pudding she will always ask for something else
- During lunch she will say ''when are we having dinner''
- When we give her food she will compare vs what we have on our plate (yours is bigger than mine)
- If we eat together as a family, she will often finish first (she seems to rush food), she will then lean over and try to take our food + our friends children’s food. We obviously tell her no, but it’s really hard work, she goes on and on
- Often after she's had food we can experience tantrums for at least 20 mins because she wants more to eat ''I'm hungry'' we know we give her enough food and a good variety of protein, carbs etc
