1 year old touching tv game

My daughter is 1 year old this week and recently found it hilarious to go and bang on the tv. We’ve told her no, she laughs. We’ve tried distracting her, she just ignores us and goes back to the tv. We are currently just leading her away from the tv to the other side of the room and not looking or saying anything whilst we do it, she just laughs and goes back to the tv.

This can last for hours if she wanted it to, I’ve no idea what else to do! I actively praise her when she doesn’t do it. She does it even when there’s nothing on the screen. She crawls towards it and looks back with a cheeky grin.

anyone had this issue or has any advice?

They go through phases of doing this. My 1.5 year old likes to do it with the buttons on the oven which is obviously very annoying when I’m trying to cook.
I think you have to just keep enforcing the boundary. Like explain that we watch tv, we don’t hit it etc and lead her to do something else.
If playing with other toys doesn’t distract her then maybe try leaving the house for a bit - even if just in the garden. I find that changing the scenery can help take their mind off touching the thing you don’t want them to.
The more fuss you make of it the more they’ll want to do it as they’re getting a reaction.
Just keep doing what you’re doing and eventually she’ll move onto something else
