I’m new here so sorry that I don’t understand all the stuff yet!
My LO is almost 5 months old. She has been so fussy the last 6 weeks.
Suddenly hates her bath.
Cries hysterically for seemingly no reason then calms down straight after.
Whinges ALL day long.
Seems to get bored very quickly.
Fussy with her bottle.
Fights all of her naps then cries hysterically because she’s tired.
Please can anyone help or advise on anything because I am really struggling. I don’t know whats wrong with her or what to do.

Personally I'd try racking the naps first as sleep often begets sleep.

Where is she napping now?

And have you tried a dose of pain relief just to check that she's not in pain or discomfort?

She contact naps. I've tried putting her down but she wakes up instantly which doesn't help her getting overtired. She will not self settle.
I've tried giving her pain relief but it doesn't help.

Ok so if she's contact napping but only seeping for 20 minutes will she sleep longer in a sling of you go for a walk or on the park or car? Have you tried taking her to bed with you and napping there?

She sleeps longer with contact naps. She only sleeps for 20 mins if i try to put her down after that time.

So if you can get her into having regular long naps by doing contact naps, how is she then?

Still the same 😔 nothing seems to make any difference. We've tried earlier bed time, later bed time, contact naps, later naps. Feel like i've run out of options really

At 4 months they often get more alert but that usually manifests as more night waking. If she's fussy with her bottle, have you tried swapping to a comfort formula? Is she currently on Kendamil by any chance?

No she's on aptamil advanced. She didn't get on with Kendamil but has been fine on aptamil.

Ok so this seems a common pattern with babies on either of those milks. It could be something to do with the formula that's not agreeing with her or it could be Cow's Milk Protein Allergy. Does she have any of the symptoms in the link?

Another thing to rule out is Tongue Tiee* as a lot of the symptoms can be similar.

Are either of those articles of any use? Wink

She has no symptoms of Cmpa and had her tongue tie cut at 6 weeks. Its been checked since and hasn't reattched

That's a bit of a mystery then. If she were mine I'd be tempted to swap to a comfort formula, maybe SMA or Hipp as lots of babies don't seem to agree with Aptamil or Kendamil and maybe try the No Cry Nap Solution Flowers
