4 month old - arm in air

Hiya! My 4 month old always sticks his right arm up in the air whenever he is excited. He has always done this and I thought it was just a reflex but I don’t see other babies doing it. He’ll also do it if we lay him down on his change mat. Just not sure if there is something wrong or if it’s normal baby behavior? I’m struggling to find anything on google. Thanks

Honestly don't know in that one, sorry @VH26108.

My 2 month old sticks her arms in the air with excitement (also on changing mat which makes a nice change from the first few weeks when we’d only get screams!). I’ve never thought to check if she only does one or both, it varies. I think it’s just a baby thing - they have so few ways of expressing themselves that arms play a crucial role in it. Keep an eye on it as your baby starts to move more if it’s worrying you but I really don’t think you need to worry about it
