help baby bumped head now nose bleed

hi my little one bumped his head about half an hour ago ( learning to crawl pulled stool backwards right over his head) cried a bit had a cuddle seems fine had a bottle of milk now back to trying to crawl again and seems in usual buoyant good spirits but i have just notice a slight nose bleed from his right nostril.. no reason at all for this as far as i can tell. should i be worried and is it because he bumped his head?? thanks for advice

I'd give NHS Direct or my GPs surgery a call. They can advise you whether you need to get it checked out. Hope he's okay.

Most likely he bumped his nose as well, or is getting a cold and the bleeding is coincidental.

Unless he fell from quite a height, he's unlikely to have seriously damaged himself. Best call NHS Direct to be reassured though.

Probably the stool clonked him on the snoot on the way past his head...

hi there, thanks so mcuh both of you... bleeding stopped but later on my mum ( i had to go to work... bad mum) took him to the gp who was very reassuring and said he was fine. he seems fine though little bit of dark snot (sorry TMI) today but he seems on such good form.
you are right duchesse from what i understand about the height thing being important. falling from sitting position though not very nice is a lot better than falling 2 or 3 foot xx thanks ladies
