My toddler is ready difficult to feed.

My toddler has always been difficult to feed. She used to reuse to eat unless watching tv (so mindlessly) but we realise this was creating a very bad habit so we stopped with the tv. She's adjusted quite well but the problem we have is that she refuses all food and then ends up so hungry she's howling and hysterical. Today the refused all food and snacks until just now. And she was screaming and throwing things (very hangry).

I'd really appreciate any tips. I really don't want to go back to tranquillising her with tv to feed her but it's so hard to get her to eat. She won't even stay still long enough to even look at food.

We've tried to read books and have music or audiobooks on but it doesn't make a difference.

Do you all eat dinner together (I mean the final meal of the day, my husband calls lunch dinner so it's worth clarifying)? We let ours little one have tv with breakfast or lunch or both as we can't all eat together then, but we always eat dinner at the table and there is no tv allowed there.

How old is @showersandflowers?

@teaandkittehs unfortunately we don't have a family table at the moment (hoping to move to a house with a dining space in the next year) but at the moment she has a toddler table in the living room and we eat on the sofa. Hopefully that will help though.

Ok so I've had one that was very fussy to feed too. I know that you want to break the tv association but if she's not eating at all, can you start the day off by giving her breakfast and a cup of milk whist she watches a favourite tv show?

Does she go to Nursery, Playgroup or Preschool? Does she eat there?
