Baby hates pram

Just hoping for some advice, my 7 week old baby hates his pram. Will scream whenever he is put in it and will not settle. I'm wondering if he wants to be propped up and not laid flat but don't know how to safely do this.

Has anyone had this issue before and overcome it? Any tips on getting him to stay in without getting so upset. I just want to get out of the house and go for a nice long walk with him

I think it can be quite normal - babies like to be close to their carers so being put in a pram or bassinet can be quite scary for them as they are alone. He will eventually get used to it - if you can put him in when you know he’s sleepy / due a nap then that can help him get used to falling asleep in it.
Do you have a sling you could also use? He may be more settled in that and you can still do a walk.

DD2 hated the pram. I used a sling for her (and dd1 went in the buggy) and she was much happier in that until she walked (at about 8 months) and then she went on the buggy board.

Until she was 3yo and I was about 8 months pregnant with #3 when she suddenly announced "that baby is not going in my buggy."
She didn't actually worry once "that baby" was born, but I did think she had no claim on the buggy at all after the fuss she made on the odd occasions I had to get her in the buggy. 🤣
