Just that really

I have a really difficult baby who always cries or fussy. I've heard from a couple of people that difficult babies turn into really good toddlers / children.

Is this true ?

No. Of course it’s not true. And there’s no such thing as a good or bad toddler.

My DS screamed blue murder from day one, no joke, the nurses in SCBU tried everything so he wouldn’t ’disturb’ the other babies. It turned into a year long screaming session, and took a really really long time for him to be slightly more ‘settled’. He is now a regular (autistic) toddler, defiance, pushing boundaries etc. some days he is more ‘independent’ than others. There are challenges at every age and stage. You have to find ways of working with it rather than against it, and take breaks.
