Hi I’ve got a 14 month old girl , she’s started to take her first independent steps this past week but I’ve noticed her speech has reduced she was saying at least 20 words she’s dropped words that she’s been saying for a while that I’ve noticed the past few days it’s more like 5 or 6 and stopped most of Actions to songs and not as talkative as usual I’ve googled and it’s coming up as speech regression which is a red flag for ASD! She’s not completely stopped but stopped enough for me to worry no other signs what I can note , isit something to do with the walking? As in focusing on walking and talking has took a back seat or do you guys think it’s a red flag 🚩 and has anyone experienced this?

It could just be that they've recently learned a new skill. If they're still like that in a few weeks, we can offer some advice in what to do Flowers

Mine recently dropped mummy for two weeks but it came back! Wait a few weeks and see what happens, sometimes they concentrate on one skill more than another.
