Overthinking

I have recently came across a social media post about toddler handleading with lack of pointing, My 17m hand leads a lot, specially when they want to go somewhere, they wouldn't point at things they want us to get for them but would point at body parts, colours, and animals when asked which is which and what is what, vert good eye contact, started to do a bit of pretend play, can play peekaboo, has atleast 10 words, very good understanding at even complex command for example pick your shoes and put them into the shoe storage, we talk to them in 3 different languages, my worry is their hand leading and lack of pointing, could it be a red flag for ASD, I have been losing my sleep over it, don't know if pointing at colours, body parts or animals in the book counts,

Your child doesn’t have a lack of pointing - you’ve said they’re pointing at books and body parts etc.
My son is 18 months and sounds really similar. If he wants something he either grabs our hand to make us come to the thing, or if he’s playing with a toy he’ll sometimes pull our hand to make us play with it.
I just think it’s leading to proper pointing in the future / he wants us to join in his game.
He doesn’t have the words to say Please play with me or please get me a strawberry, so he leads us there.
I do think you’re overthinking and your some sounds really normal.
If he wasn’t pointing at anything or able to understand and follow instructions then it may be cause for worry.
