DS acts out in group settings

My DS is an intelligent, charismatic, polite and sweet 6 year old in a 121 setting and with certain children… however in group settings such as party’s, extra curricular activities such as football training he is a completely different child. He bursts out crying at any minor inconvenience, he is rough with other kids and can be rude to his friends and myself. He’s like a switch when he’s back 121 in the car on the way home he’s lovely and sweet again!

Does anyone else have any experience with this?

I have tried to explain emotions and we have worked on techniques to bring down his feelings when he starts to feel them becoming extreme.

it’s starting to get to the point where I am avoiding social situations where I know he will act out which I really don’t want to do but it’s making him and myself miserable, plus I don’t want his friends to start disliking him.
