6.5 year old so silly

Looking for advice/reassurance.

my 6.5 year old is so so silly and loud when we have people over. I feel bad but I find him so annoying and embarrassing.

he doesnt stop displaying hyperactive/ impulsive silly immature behaviours (mainly so others laugh at him) often going on about bum/willies then at the end has wore himself out so much he will then cry when they leave (if here for playdate) .
i have to keep telling him to calm down and stop being so loud, Im on edge all the time as his peers/cousins of the same age are not doing this.

at present no reports of this behavior at school, if anything we have praise about how well he is doing with school with learning and no concerns, he will be going in Yr2 in Sept.

does anyone else experience this? Ive tried removing him to him calm down but then he will turn really really grumpy/ borderline meltdown which again I dont want others to witness!

Hello just came across your post. I can't give you any answers but I am I'm the exact same position with my just turned 6 year old boy. I notice more when I see him around peers his own age. He doesn't sit still either. Constantly making silly noises and jumping around my living room. Again like you, no problems at school they say he's fine and does well academically. I can't lie he drives me mad lol. I'm going with my gut instinct that it's a boy thing and it will all resolve itself... I'm praying that's the case
