Any SALT practitioners or advice on potential stutter?

My 2.5 year old has always elongated words such as what, where, who when using it at the beginning of a sentence ie 'whaaaaaat's that car doing?' And stutters slightly in the middle of these words. Assumed just normal and him preparing his question but for the last couple of days he's been saying 'I can't talk' after trying these types of sentences. He's becoming quite upset. All other speech appears to be normal or maybe even better than some of his same aged friends.

My question is, what do I do? Ignore? Say he can talk? Say not to worry?

I'm not worried about his speech (unless told I should be) but worried he's getting upset about it. He's been very quiet today after a few attempts this morning

Thanks

Speech and language UK are a wonderful charity for anything language or speech development, this is their section on stammering but i'd highly recommend calling them as they'll book in a telephone advice appointment with a speech therapist for free to cover any concerns; https://speechandlanguage.org.uk/help-for-families/resource-library-for-families/stammering/
