Hello everyone,
My son is 10 and going into year 6 come September, for context he's a wheelchair user but doesn't have any learning difficulties or mental disabilities he is in a SEN school due to his mobility. Anyway, the neighbours kids keeps knocking for him to play out and he really wants to. I've said no but today my husband let him play out but only on our side of the street with the neighbours kids and only where he can see him on the ring doorbell. we live on an estate which is a culda sack (spelling) and has a speed limit of 10 miles per hour. It's the posh part of the city I live in. He wants to play out tomorrow but I'm a nervous wreck about letting him. Am i being dramatic 😂 he's fairly level headed and doesn't drive off when we're out and about, he understands roads and strangers. I know I'm nervous because of his physical disability but he is so happy and chuffed he's being included, me too! Would you judge a wheelchair using child playing out alone with out supervision.
