Has anyone experienced there baby starting to point (well I think that's what he is doing) but he does it with his arm stretched out and fist closed (almost like a super man pose 🤣) rather than with his pointing finger ?
Presume it will progress to a pointing finger but just wondering If anyone's experienced that. He is 11 months old.

That's not something I've experienced sorry @Alice4417.

Have they got their 12 month check soon? Maybe it's something you could discuss with the HV at that check?

DD2 pointed (and still does as an adult) with her 2nd finger not index.
Now in her case she is missing a hand, and I suspected it was so she could hold on to something and still point, but as she still does it, maybe it's something just inbuilt in her.

I think as long as they're pointing with their arm/fist/finger it's fine.
