My son is 4 and refuses to walk to nursery. Nursery is approx 500m away, we could drive but it’s a hassle and bad environmentally. We could walk, cycle it scoot but whatever them method, he will stop at least once and refuse to move. He loves nursery. He just doesn’t want to move. I cajole, I jolly him along, I tell him he’s gojng to be late, I tell him I’m going ti be late. I end up just picking him up under my arm and March him writhing to nursery. Then cry all the way to work thinking about what a bad parent I am. Please help me. Where am I going wrong?

Well you don't need to drive 500m..that's ridiculous.
I'd just keep walking unless you are on a really dangerous road. Or stand there but ignore him until he moves.
Also consequences... at 4 he's old enough to behave. Refuses to move? Then no ipad or whatever when he gets home. He'll get the message.

But a pack of cheap stickers..

Put the Stickers on posts as you walk ..then the next time - spot the stickers.

A sticker over the sticker - spot them again...

Might work! Did for my DD when we wanted to go for a long walk as a family 😊

Tell him he either walks or goes in the buggy like a baby.
