7 month development advice/experience

Hi,

My LB is 7 months old and I have always been a little worried about his development.
He's happy and chilled but there's certain things he does/doesn't do that I'm concerned about.

He tends to have a very blank expression a lot of the time, especially when his older sister is trying to talk to him or make him laugh.
He doesn't respond to his name. Sort of gets transfixed on something around him and it's hard to get his attention.
He makes little eye contact or doesn't interact with facial expressions.
He's not babbling.... Just sort of going aaaaaaaaaaaaa a lot.

He is sitting but not really rolling. Hates tummy time and won't push up on his arms.
Isn't clapping or trying to but will reach for toys and loves the dogs.
He does smile, but not a lot and will giggle if we tickle him.
He's also a great sleeper and enjoying weaning.

I'm very aware that all babies develop differently but he is so much less engaged with us than his sister was.
I guess I'm just looking for people that had a similar experience to this and how their little ones are now.

Thank you xx

Hi @Trace08 - I know exactly how you feel! But I think much of what you're saying is completely normal - I think boys are just a bit slower than girls.

My baby boy is more 9 months and doesn't respond to his name, doesn't clap, and hates tummy time. Only in the past month has he started pushing down on his hands and he regularly has a vacant expression! But the doctors say he's doing really well and acting totes normal (he's been in hospital because he caught a virus).

However, saying this, if you're concerned, give your health visitor a call! They're a really good sounding board.
Also, the fact your boy loves the dog is really sweet 😍
