Plz tell me teething gets easier FTM

First time mum with her first round of teething 😭

For around a week so far, my 4 month old has been gnawing on his hands but has been relatively settled (excluding witching hour before bedtime 🫠). However today was a real tough day.

I’m essentially wanting to know how long the tough days last? As in, are the days going to be this tough for gosh knows how many more months until ALL of his teeth come in?

Are you actually sure it's teething? As 4 months is pretty early. Can you see the white line on the gum where it's coming up/through? Gnawing on hands doesn't necessarily mean teething.

My youngest struggled with his first 4 teeth (up crying for hours in pain for a few nights) but since those he's been fine with all the others. I think they get used to the pain as they get more teeth. Although all children are different and some suffer more than others.
