DD's friend wets the bed

My DD is due to have her 7yo friend over for a sleepover tonight, but DD has told me she wets the bed every night, and that her mum has to shower her every morning to get the wee off. The mum hasn't mentioned anything to me, though I will ask her about it. My question is, would you have this child over for a sleepover? If yes, how am I supposed to manage it? Do I wake them and change the bed, or leave them laying in their own urine in my daughter's (small) bedroom until the morning? I've never had this issue with my own children. My daughter is freaking out a little!

Nope, I'm sorry I would not have them stay but it might be a bit late now if they're due to stay tonight?

If its true, then the mother to supply you with special night nappies for older children. As she is 7 she can put on/off the nappy herself.

Yes I would, poor kid.
Our DD had accidents until she was 8. She is SEND. She now absolutely fine. If you knew us you’d know we are the type of parents who try absolutely everything in any scenario.
For some kids the bit of the brain which controls urination (or not!) does not develop until later.
In this case it’s unfortunate that her mum is not being upfront.
It’s actually very solvable with pull ups but I would raise with her Mum asap.
If it was your Daughter would you want her to lose out on this experience through no fault of her own?

What did you decide on the end @Lechatquiveille?

Hi all, thanks for your responses! I spoke to the mum before the daughter arrived, she assured me she would put an overnight nappy in her bag. The girl is a very heavy sleeper, and just doesn’t wake up. She did wee in the nappy, and it did leak…but I had put a waterproof protector on the mattress, so I just had to wash the sheets which I would have done anyway. My own daughter took ages to go to sleep though so I’m knackered today! I think she was worrying about her friend weeing in her bedroom.
