Baby head circumference too high

Hey guys,

I had a HV appointment today with my nearly 10 month old. Everything seemed to be fine apart from his head circumstance. I was told his head circumference is now on the 90th centile and so the HV was concerned that his head was too big in comparison to his previous measurements. She referred us to be seen by a GP and although the GP didn’t have any immediate concerns, she asked us to come back again in two weeks to have the head measured again. My little one seems to be developing well, however he is still only commando crawling and is trying to pull himself up but his legs don’t seem to be strong enough yet. Has anybody been in a similar situation? I’m obviously so worried

Was searching for a similar thread as my 11mo has the same issue. I was advised to leave it 2weeks and get her head re measured also! Il be going to the childrens centre on thursday to do this.

what on earth would it mean if their head circumference remained on the higher end??

i doubt it would be a cause for concern but im also wondering what this means!!....

Interesting. My son has inherited massive head genes from both of us, but they don't even measure heads here again until age 2.

Does he seem to have any issues with head control? Do you have big heads in your family, and what size were the previous centiles?
