1 YO doesn't wave or clap

He was one in July. Great eye contact, knows his name. Points at things he likes/wants. Babbles a lot. Crawls & pulls himself up.

However no clapping or waving, despite me trying to encourage him daily.

My DD who is now 6 was doing this at 9/10 months.

He's in to everything & I wonder if he's just not interested but also wondering if this means there's anything 'wrong'.

Anyone has/had this?

@RappersNeedChapstick yes he did, but it was done when he had just turned 11 months. He also had a Baileys assessment done as he had meningitis when he was born & all development was scored as normal on all areas then.

If they did the 12 months Ages & Stages was he ok on the communication section? How does hr do on this SLT progress checker?

@RappersNeedChapstick all answers were yes except one I put 'I'm not sure' & it said he may need help but I can't imagine most parents say yes to all! Thank you though.
