Talking like a baby

We only have one child who is 10 years old. For the past 18 months he has been speaking to us using "baby talk". Not all the time and mainly just for me (mum).

We thought it was just a phase, but it's still happening. We correct him and ask him to use his normal voice and he does but give him an hour and he's doing it again.

Does anyone have any experience of this? We're worried he's going to be still doing it when it comes to senior school!

Thanks x

I've not had this but I would treat it the same easy I would with whining and just pretend that I couldn't hear the baby talk and only respond when he talks properly.

And unfortunately he's only likely to do it once in High School, if he does make that mistake.
