Advice - very hyper little boy

Hi Mumsnet,

My little boy is 6 months old, he is very advanced for his age and has been hitting milestones very quickly. He is so smiley and so happy I honestly am so lucky to have such a beautiful little boy.

He is so hyperactive, I work at the nursery he attends and the girls keep saying he will be walking by next week because all he wants to do is move and be on his little feet!

When in his walker he throws himself about, in his baby swing he tries to roll over while still strapped in and when going to put him in his car seat he shuffles down to escape, he now also rolls over so quickly and is bellyflopping to move backwards, he's been trying very hard to come up on his knees to crawl.

I noticed just this afternoon 3 small bruises over his rib area, it's concerned me because I have no idea where it's come from, we're back to nursery tomorrow and I'm going to let management and the girls know straight away however my anxiety is sky high about it. I'd never do anything to hurt my little one and I'm worried that's what people will think. I have such high anxiety when it comes to the kids because I adore them. Please can someone share experiences? I'm terrified that social services will get involved. It makes me feel sick. This is my second child. They are such a worry sometimes :(

SS are not going to get involved for some bruising on an active baby, I'd be very surprised if they would even care.

You do sound extremely anxious. Have you got any support for your anxiety?
