Weaning and sitting up help

Hayxx · 03/08/2024 18:43

So my little boy will be 6 months old in a couple of weeks however he still cannot sit up unassisted. He rolls around no problem and can hold his head up well but if I sit him down he just folds forward. What do I do in regards to weaning? Do I postpone it or do I start with purees? I'm assuming blw is out of the question.
Thanks

@Hayxx how do they do on this Ready to Start Weaning? quiz?

As I understand it, the sitting-for-weaning question isn't about sitting completely independently, like on a blanket or playmat. It's about if you put baby in his highchair (so some support to back and sides), can he sit up then, not slumping or folding, and hold his head steady.

A couple of weeks is also still a fair bit of time in the development of a baby, so you may find he's significantly steadier by the time he hits six months.

This makes sense thank you 🙂
