Twin sister

Hi everyone,
My twin sister is married and has two beautiful daughters whom I adore. I didn't see them for many years. She and her husband and children will go on vacation to Türkiye, where I am currently staying. However, she didn't inform me of this; instead, she just mentioned that they were going on a vacation to the sea. I initially thought they were going to Greece. Later, I learned from my older sister that they are coming to Turkey. I felt hurt by this. While I understand that she may have wanted a family vacation, I wish she had told me so that I could visit them for a day to see my nieces. I will cover my expenses by myself; I only wanted to spend time with my nieces, whom I adore and miss dearly. Do you think I'm wrong to feel hurt about this?

I can understand you feeling a bit hurt yes. Can you talk to your DSis? Are you close?

I appreciate your response. I cannot communicate with her because she blocked me after I expressed my feelings. It's been tough to be blocked by her, especially twice. It is her family and she has the right to prioritize them, her husband and children. I've come to understand that I may have overstepped my boundaries, and it's clear that I need to prioritize my emotional well-being and mental health. Moving forward, I will step back and focus on protecting myself from people who may not have my best interests at heart, and stop expecting something from them.
