I’ve had some concerns with my 12 month old for a while but I’m not sure if it’s anxiety or mums instinct I’m sorry if my wording offends anyone I know autism isn’t the end of the world but also I worry for her future if she was to have autism.
She’s was a really ‘colic’ baby but this was due to cows milk protein allergy. She’s always been a bit funny with strange faces picking her up if she’s use to the person she’s fine she seems to be fine with other kids but she’s a only child so don’t see kids often she’s never slept through the night she’s 12 months she wakes 2/3 times for a bottle. She seems to be hitting milestones she’s almost walking she sat up about 5-6m and army crawl 6-7m and proper crawl about 9m and she can pull herself up and taking independent steps last couple weeks can climb to the top of the stairs but I’ve always had a gut feeling I’ve got nothing to compare her my mum and sisters says I’m over reacting and it’s anxiety to as she’s my first. She can wave , clap , point to what she wants she’s fine with food and textures , loves music and the Hoover 🤣 love my mums dog she pretends to feed her doll a bottle and smacks her lips gives us kisses , puts her hand to her ear and says hello if I pretend to cry she cuddles me she can do the stacking rings and press buttons on toys she calls my mums dog by name coco she says mama , dada , nana , baba , hello and says uhhoh she sees food and says hmm and rubs her dolls and teddy’s and says awww , my main concern is she gets quite upset if not her own way she goes around in circles on her bum a few times in day she arm flaps mostly to music or if she’s excited but sometimes for no reason she also squints her eyes and throws her head back she pulls her hair a few times a day and fingers in her ears she also zoned out she also crawls outside the back door and comes in like 5 times in a row she’ll crawl out and straight back in she hates being strapped in to her high. Chair or car chair she respond to her name 90% of the time if she interested in something she’ll ignore me she follows me if I leave the room she can follow simple instructions like give the baby a bottle or clap your hands or give it to daddy follows my point if I say what up there she’ll look up.
I’ve spoke to my health visitor at her 12 month check she said she wasn’t concerned cause she’s a girl what are you guys honest opinions? also I’ve got 21 neice and nephews and a few nephews is on the spectrum
