My 17 month old DD hums whilst eating. I have read it a sign of ASD . She has been doing it for a while now but she is perfectly on track with her development. She can say 50 words and link two words together, fabulous sleeper and very affectionate . She can point , wave , clap and does pretend play . But she is not a good eater and she does hum . She also goes a bit stiff when excited . Her HV and gp , plus assessment group where she went to says she is completely normal . No red flags .
