My DD is just over 2 and a half and for the last few months has been waking most nights crying but would settle again instantly and go back to sleep.
The last 2 nights she has been waking up screaming and it could be half an hour before i can get her to snap out of it and calm down. Its horrible!
When she calms I've asked her why shes crying and she tells me she's scared of her bed.
Is this typical of nightmares? I don't think it's night terrors because she is definitely awake when shes screaming.
I really don't know what to do to help her other than explaining that bed is safe and cosy and mummy is always here etc so any advice from anyone who has experienced similar would be great
