Speech therapy waiting lists

Hi all! I was wondering how anyone may be finding waiting lists for NHS or private speech therapy for their young ones? I'm curious to see how it varies area to area- we're having no such luck!

Haven't had any issues getting private speech therapy (have seen two therapists locally in the past month).

For the NHS community speech therapist my child would be highest priority. Referral went in a month ago. I haven't heard anything.

We have now managed to access speech therapy on the NHS but through the hospital.

We sent in the referral for my 3yo son late Feb and we've got our first face to face NHS assessment next week. We are in Berkshire. We found the private therapists were very busy in the area but definitely less of a wait than NHS.

My son was referred around 1.5 years ago and still nothing. We're in Yorkshire. I decided to pay private but to be honest I'm not finding it worth the money.

My son is 2.5 and was referred in April we have a first video call with them in September
