Dread going out with 4 year old

Best way to deal with my 4 year old putting herself on the floor and refusing to get up? Fed up of losing our cool and carrying her out of places!

It used to be a case of if you moved away then she would follow but now she just stays there. We have a wrist reign as she was running off but it is now putting herself on the floor even when she doesn't have the reign on.

It is coming to the point I am dreading taking her out as she hardly listens. Makes me feel like a failure.

Any advice appreciated!

Did you ever find something that works? My 2 year old is similar and with a baby in tow it's near impossible to get him up off the floor but nothing I say works. As you say, makes me dread going out

I spoke with my health visitor who advised that if she sits on the floor just stand until she moves. Give her the option on who's hand to hold. If you need to carry her out just carry her and don't react. Put in more boundaries like what I did when she ran off near our house as wasn't wanting to come in so she never got TV until later and after we spoke about it and she apologised. I will continue using a wrist reign at times too
