Hey I'm at wits end with my 31 month old. He has always been a fussy eater due to teething since he was a baby. He was eating lots of fruit and veg but now won't go near them he won't even eat yoghurt now. He loves pasta, mac and cheese, mash ,waffles chicken nuggets and turkey dinosaurs. He will eat the tilda kids rice with hudden veg in. But won't eat anything else!
He use to drink out of an open cup but won't do that now prefers a rubber straw beaker. Tried others but only wants that certain one.

Health visitor not helpful at all.

Is this normal ?? Am I being parniod.? Any advice plz as I do suffer from anxiety badly

Yes. Very normal to go through a fussy spat around this age. I don’t know how true it is but I have heard it’s evolutionary because that’s the age cave babies would start wandering around and it protects them from eating poisonous berries. I would continue to offer everything alongside one food you know he’ll eat, eat together where you can so he sees you eating a balanced meal and don’t make a fuss, don’t offer alternatives. So homemade breaded chicken not the shop bought nuggets (maybe), mash (will definitely eat), veggies (probably not). Chances are he’ll come out of the fussy phase soon enough. If he doesn’t ask the GP about seeing a dietitian. And give a multivitamin. Regarding the cup my DS has to have a bottle for nursery and has a collection with fun designs on so he only wants to drink from those now. It’s fine, he’s hydrated and he can’t spill!

I've seen the book Meals Without Tears recommended on here before now.
