Hi all
I have a six week old son who doesn't keep his food down, bringing back whole bottles worth at a time, he is also very windy but keeps hold of it. I was told to try SMA Staydown but it didn't do what it said on the tin. He's been on SMA Gold since birth but I saw a Cow&Gate milk called comfort for easy digestion - has anyone tried this one???I recently met a mum who's daughter was on SMA Staydown and she said her little girl had become windy on it so I don't want to try him on it again - He has recently been on Infant Gaviscon but this didn't particularly help. Any advice gratefully received.

My son was on the cow & Gate easy digestion as he did the same as yours. We didn't get on with it as he suffered terribly from wind on it .

He got on with the Aptimil easy digest better. Keep the Gaviscon up and go back to the dr as they can refer you for Reflux and be put on stronger meds.

My sympathy, we tried loads of milk for a while.....

Oh my son has got reflux, so nothing stops him being sick, it just reduces it!

Think you may need to be more persistent with one of the options. There are no quick fixes to this, it is more a case of management until they outgrow the problem unless it is Pyloric Stenosis which can cause very severe projectile vomiting. Just because one doesn't agree with another child doesn't mean it wouldn't suit yours although in essence they are similar. tbh I wouldn't keep changing without seeing a HV or gp again.
