1st time claiming DLA

I have applied for DLA for my daughter. The form was received 12th April, I got a letter 6th may conforming they have received. Today I had a letter dated 6/6 saying they haven't made a decision and it could take 15 weeks. Can anyone tell me if that means 15 weeks from the date of the letter or is that 15 weeks from the date I sent the form.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure on that one sorry. Have you tried asking in the SN Children Section?

It means 15 weeks from scan date, but alot of claims are taking longer than that at the moment xx
