SEND advice Speech therapy

Hi

My daughter is finishing her first year of reception. We have been paying for private Speech therapy for the past 6 months due to school suggestion.

I have had an appointment come through today advising we are required to meet her year 1 teachers to discuss her SEND needs.. I maybe totally niave but I always through this ment special educational needs in regards to autisum/adhd which has never been discussed previously. I phoned the school asking if it was an error however they advised it is not.

Is there anything for me to worry about? I don't have any concerns personally although my first child to have these needs.. thanks for any advise. I no I will have to wait until Monday to discuss with school directly but just incase anyone has same issues.

What are her issues with Speech and Language @Uklady23? And what has the SLT said so far?

SEND can refer to anything which is impacting on her learning.

Many children having SPAL might need some kind of adjustment at school, or an intervention to support their language development in school.
