Clingy 21 month old

Hi,

My DS is 21 months old and has always been a very clingy child, but lately it seems that things have gotten so much worse. He just wants to be on my lap all the time, or randomly picked up and I can't currently do that as I'm 33 weeks pregnant. If he doesn't get his own way he screams, and I mean proper screams, he's never really had a typical cry it's always been a scream. I live in an upstairs flat and honestly often think that my neighbours are going to report me for neglect or something because of how loud he screams and how often he seems to be having tantrums lately.

It's not just me who he is attached to, he wants to be picked up by his dad too. Sometimes he will go and stop over at his grandparent's and he clings to them too.

I honestly have no idea what to do, it's making me really nervous for next baby too.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think sometimes they can sense the change in you due to the PG but it does sound quite intense, especially if he's the sane with other members if the family.

How did he do on his 12 month check?
