5 month old neck control while sitting

DD has just turned 5 months and is 25 percentile in terms of weight (which has remained consistent since birth). She has good neck control when we hold her on our shoulders, during tummy time also she keeps her head up for a good amount of time. However, when we make her sit with support her head just drops forward. She does look up if dangle something in front of her and then drops the head back down. Has anyone else experienced this? Will this improve with more tummy time? I am quite worried and will ring the HV tomorrow but thought will get some advice here.

I by no means have much experience except my own children and what they could do at that age. I'd definitely ask for some advice from the GP/HV.

I agree with TTC. I'd call the HV today and ask to see them as you've got concerns about head control.
