Can teething cause vomiting?

LO is 21 months old and hasn't cut her incisor teeth yet but seems to be suffering. She is winy and clingy and seems to be teething yet she vomited 3x this a.m and is off her food.

Thought it was a bug but no diorreha or temp. Called nhs direct who went through everything and said probably just a bug etc but keep an eye on her.

I think it probably is her teeth, she keeps poking her finger in the gap in her gums. Just didn't think teething caused vomited.

She had a bit of toast and a yoghurt earlier and touchwood that has stayed there.

My DD sometimes throws-up when teething. I can smell her spit when she teeths, it is a very distinctive smell and sometimes it upsets her tummy.

Thanks. I know I read that it's not supposed to but I am sure it does upset them.

That thing about the spit - I can sometimes smell a kind of faint gluey smell from her mouth. I wonder if that's connected...
