Hiya mumma just here for some advice
i have a very boisterous 15 month old boy who has 6 teeth and has now started biting me sometimes to the point it draws blood he obviously finds it highly hilarious whilst I’m in pain with bite marks up my arms
i have tried
No-(the obvious one first,he finds it funnier)
putting him in time out
trying to not have a reaction ( even though it hurts I try my best)
removing myself from the situation
sat him next to me and explains it hurts mummy (I realised that was stupid because he doesn’t understand)

I know this is developmental and probably a normal part of growing up ( I’m a ftm) but just looking for advice for what I could do differently or if I can do anything or just wait it out 😂😂
thank you ❤️

I find with my 19mo a firm louder than normal short sharp no, hurts and moving him away from me stops it. Completely sympathise, it's only 6 baby teeth but they are bloody sharp😂

He definitely would understand telling him it hurts you!

my boy is 18 months and did the same around that time, i fount the biting often happened when he was over tired or stimulated.. we use baby signs and i have a sign for pain that he already associated with his own pain. I could use it when he hurts me and he definitely understands. Communication is always worthwhile even though you dont know how much they get.

he also found it hilarious (like pulling my hair) and after the second no and a warning i gave him a tap on the hand with a firmer no and he hasnt done it again, he only now lightly bites sometimes but i think its for comfort.
