So I took my daughter to her first lesson. She cried and wouldn’t stop holding side of pool. She did hold the teachers stick and swim but she was so nervous.

she hasn’t been in a pool befor becuase I couldn’t afford it but now that I have some spare money i thought she could learn to swim

just wondering if i should stop lessons or continue

I'd talk about the positives and really praise her gut what she achieved.

Can you not get in with her?
What on earth is the stick?
First lesson should be gentle and introducing the child to swimming...even sitting on the side , legs just in the water.
Slowly!

Ask if you can get I but don't give up on the lessons...keep going. Swimming is a joy and vital!
