Super nanny?

Has anybody used somebody like this? We are desperate, or at least I am. I don't want somebody to stifle dd's curiosity, creativity, kindness and spirit. But we need to undo years of weak parenting, especially in some areas, and I truly believe she would also be happier with more reliable boundaries and less wavering between ignoring and shouting.

Have you used a "super nanny"?
What questions should I ask?
Would you do anything differently?
Would you recommend the person you used?

Thank you in advance.

PS NC'd for this

Bumping myself. (A variation on slapping my forehead for letting things get this bad.)
Thanks again

Have you had a bit of a name change daily there @scarecrow22? Wink

I've not used one but I'd try asking if they have DC. So many of the "Baby/Child Gurus" have never actually had their own child.

I'd also ask of their methods are evidence based.

If you want to tell us a bit more about your DD we might be able to point you to some resources Flowers

It sounds like you know exactly what the problems are so why don't you just put in the boundaries yourselves? Just be calm, clear and consistent and she'll soon learn.
