I just read on my Local Mumsnet a comment by a mother who described bad parenting as

" a book and cbeebies"

Is that really what people think? Isn't it about variety and moderation?

Yes, variety and moderation sounds right to me. DD1 has the most amazing vocabulary for a child her age and some of it she owes to Cbeebies (and of course to nursery rhymes, stories, school etc). Anyway, shouldn't it be "Mumsnet and Cbeebies", lol - that's what I'm more likely to be doing while they're watching TV
