Warning; please do not let your kids put Hama beads up their nose...

Dd2 put a hama bead up her nose on thursday, i tried to get it out but lost sight of it, so we went to A&e where we were sent to another hospital (fri morning), last night dd2 had surgery to remove the bead under anastetic (sp). I don't think she will be doing it again and dd1's hama beads will be put away until dd2 is at least 5.

Oh god, I hate Hama beads. Poor dds, hope she's ok now

Though at least they have a hole in the middle. The things that really scare me are the windpipe-shaped mini Russian dolls, and solid beads.

She's ok, back to shuving her toast up her nose this morning

She seems to put evrything up there.

my ds did this last year (he was actually 6 at the time!) we too went to A&E and were sent to another hospital where thankfully they managed to remove it without surgery!
