When did your baby start hugging their stuffed animal?

I don't think they hugged them until they were older to really understand what a hug was.
Neither my girls were really interested in soft toys, but ds had an elephant who was mostly carried round by his nose when he was old enough to grab. He was certainly holding him at 4 months, as I have a photo, but I don't think he hugged him until quite a bit older, and even then it was probably more a carry hold rather than a deliberate hug.

Around a year for DD1, and around 10 months for DD2. It first shows up on the health visitor questionnaires at 12 months, so around the year mark is presumably fairly typical.
